Professor Murphy

TJN is delighted to hear that Richard Murphy, a long-standing senior adviser who has given enormous amounts of time to the tax justice movement since its founding in 2003, has been appointed as Professor of Practice in International Political Economy at the Department of International Politics at City University, London.

Richard will be teaching a course on the economics of the real world.

    Excellent news, and congratulations on your 4th March 2015 appearance on BBC News, lucidly stating the blindingly obvious that the journalists failed to state, namely that Facebook paying “millions more” in tax is not the same as Facebook paying what is *right* without recourse to tax avoidance measures. Keep up the good work, Sir.

      just fyi, Richard Murphy isn’t part of TJN and he doesn’t contribute to this blog, though he worked with TJN for many years and remains a good friend of TJN.
